I created this Aruba 5 day itinerary after I went to Aruba for my birthday in August 2021 for 5 days. I had gone when I was a kid and was very excited to revisit as an adult! I think 5 days was the perfect amount of time to have a mix of adventure and relaxation.
Day 1
We went for a little drive down to San Nicolas before turning around and driving back up north to the hotel in Palm Beach. There is pretty much one road on the West side of the country that runs north and south. Most of the East side is only accessible by off-roading vehicles.
Accommodation isn’t cheap in Aruba so during this Aruba 5 day itinerary, I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino. The hotel was in Palm Beach where you can find most common hotel chains you’re used to seeing around the world lining the beach. Across from the hotels are plenty of shopping plazas with stores and restaurants, however there’s numerous options for dining inside the hotel too.
Day 2
We went out on a sailboat with Pelican Adventures. We were greeted with mimosas and an open bar. Then we sailed down to De Palm Island where we stopped to snorkel around the reef. We were provided with lunch and more drinks and then sailed back to Palm Beach. We quickly changed and got ready for the Kuku Kunukoo Party Bus to come pick us up for a Bar Crawl! We went to 3 local bars and had a lot of fun with some great people singing and dancing our way through town!
Day 3
We stayed at the resort and enjoyed! The Hyatt has two pools, one which was adult only and very relaxing with chairs and cabanas and the other was open to all ages and had a waterslide, volleyball net and swim up pool bar. The beach was also lined with chairs and umbrellas for hotel guests. Inside there was also a Spa, Casino and tour operator which you could book water sports or activities through. We laid by the pool and I went for a massage at Zoia Spa during the day. At night, we went to dinner at Ruinas del Mar in the hotel.
Day 4
We went to Eagle Beach which is a little stretch of beautiful white sand and crystal clear water without any development! After we went to a 4 hour UTV tour with De Palm Tours. They picked us up and we drove to De Palm Island and took a ferry across. We had an hour to enjoy the resort. They had a waterpark, flamingoes, snorkeling, food, dancing and drinks.
Then we started the off roading UTV adventure. At first we just got used to driving the cars going from the roads to a sort of back road track until we got to the East coast and then the real adventure started. The terrain was very tough rock and desert like along the ocean. We stopped at the small natural bridge because the large one fell years ago.
Day 5
We drove to Baby beach on the other side of the island in San Nicolas. It’s a nice little cove to swim, snorkel or just relax on the beach. There’s a restaurant there to grab drinks and food, along with beach chair and umbrella rentals.
